Fresh
fruit may be cleaned , graded and packed without any processing,
for direct marketing.
In fruit processing fruits are washed / cleaned by using agitation
systems, water jets and brush type washer.
Specially designed grading conveyors are used to grade fruits
which can be sent to extractors for extraction of juices.
Tropical fruits like mango, guava are processed by means of
a pulper / destoning unit. In case of Citrus fruits the juice
is extracted without the peel being removed and essential
oil is recovered. In case of pineapple, the 1st
and 2nd quality juice is extracted separately and
processed further. |
